Peacock Feather

This blog will help you learn how to use different colours and complete a peacock feather. I have used four different colours to recreate the peacock feather.

Draw a oval shape with different layers for a peacock feather.

Attach a kundan stone in the centre. Now start with the feather stitch and full the second and third layer.

Start with the first line and put a long chain towards the outer layer and pull it back to the first line. The knot is formed in the second line. Continue the same process and fill the second and outer layers.

Slowly and gradually increase the height also. In the center increase the height and while filling the other half decrease the height.

Complete the blue layer and put a knot. Next start with the green colour and do the same feather stitch with four layers learnt in the previous blog.

The first layer is filled and also the gaps between the blue lines in the outer layer is also filled.

On top of the green colour in the first layer fill again with lite blue using filling stitch. All the knots are formed near the stone. The work in the first layer also looks thicker and embossed as blue thread work is done on top of the green thread.

Finally complete the stem stitch with dark blue thread around the stone.

You can try different colours for flower designs peacock design and many more with your creativity.
